The Choctaw/Chickasaw Heritage Corridor is a portion of U.S. 70, that reaches from the Arkansas State line west to the Chickasaw Capital at Tishomingo. The “wild and scenic Glover River” is a stunning little river known state-wide for great floating and rafting opportunities. We have many historical sites and museums including Old Fort Towson/ Doaksville, where the last Confederate general surrendered in the Civil War, Wheelock Academy, Museum of the Red River, Forest Heritage Center, and the Choctaw Capitol (Tuskahoma) in the heart of the Great Choctaw Nation.
